  • Spring has signed an exclusive distribution agreement with NordicInfu Care AB ("Nordicinfu"), a Swedish company, for the distribution of its Spring™ Universal Infusion Sets in the Nordic countries. The agreement replaces a previous distribution agreement for the Swedish territory and expands the distribution network to the entire Nordic region. The Company also announced that its distribution agreement with EXXE s.r.l., an Italian Company, was terminated by Spring effective as of August 15, 2012, according to its terms. D. Medical is currently in discussions with other potential distribution partners for that region.

  • Spring has signed a non-exclusive distribution agreement with Agile Edge Technologies ("AET") for the distribution of its Spring™ Universal Infusion Sets in the United States. Efri Argaman, D.   • Spring/D. Medical announced today that it has been granted U.S. Patent No. 8050729, entitled "Devices For Continuous Measurement of Glucose in Body Fluid." This patent protects innovative technology that allows for the combination of a minimally invasive Continuous Glucose Monitor and an insulin pump on the same "patch." Amongst other features, the technology enables the use of a single access point to both accurately test for blood glucose levels and deliver insulin.

  • Spring has signed a non-exclusive distribution agreement with Doubek Medical Supply Inc. ("Doubek") for the distribution of its Spring™ Universal Infusion Sets in the United States. This agreement with Chicago-based Doubek marks the second non-exclusive U.S. distributorship established by Spring Health. The U.S. insulin pump and disposables market is large and growing. According to the American Diabetes Association, approximately 26 million diabetes patients live in the United States, constituting 8.3% of its population. Of those, experts estimate that 5.4%, or 1.4 million, suffer from Type 1 diabetes and 350,000 currently rely on insulin pump therapy. A recent U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention report estimated that 1 in 3 Americans will have diabetes by 2050 if current trends continue. The annual market for infusion sets alone is estimated to total $730 million in the U.S.

  • D. Medical/Spring announced today that it has received a registration certificate to market its Spring™ Universal Infusion Sets in Israel. Efri Argaman, D.   • Spring Health Solutions Inc. has signed a non-exclusive distribution agreement with RGH Enterprises, Inc. ("RGH"), the parent company of Edgepark Medical Supplies and Independence Medical, for the distribution of its Spring™ Universal Infusion Sets in the United States. As all other steps required to make the product available in the U.S. have been successfully completed, this agreement facilitates and marks the product's immediate commercial rollout in the world's single largest insulin pump and disposables market.

  • D. Medical/Spring will offer sampling of its recently U.S. FDA and Health Canada cleared Spring™ Universal Infusion Set, demonstrate its innovative Spring Zone insulin pump and provide a glimpse of its revolutionary Spring Hybrid Patch pump at the American Association of Diabetes Educators Annual Meeting & Exhibition, August 3-5, 2011 in Las Vegas, Booth 1910.

    In May 2011, D. Medical received FDA 510(k) clearance to market the Spring Universal Infusion Sets in United States and also a medical device license to market the product in Canada.  With mass production already in place, the Company expects to launch the Spring Universal Infusion Sets in the U.S. via multiple distributors over the coming weeks.  With respect to Canada, D. Medical has signed a letter of intent with Dex Medical, Canada's largest distributor of diabetes care products, to become exclusive distributor of the Spring Universal Infusion Sets in Canada.  While the two companies continue to work toward the signing of a final, definitive agreement, arrangements have been made with Dex Medical to make this important product available for immediate sale and delivery.   
  • Spring Health Solutions Ltd. ("Spring"), has signed a non-binding letter of intent with Dex Medical, Canada's largest distributor of diabetes care products, to become exclusive distributor of the Spring Universal Infusion Set in Canada. Spring Health and Dex Medical will now enter a period of further negotiation and due diligence with the goal of entering into a final, definitive agreement.

  • According to the International Diabetes Federation, approximately 2.9 million diabetes patients live in Canada, constituting 11.6% of its population. That number is expected to grow considerably as the population ages.   • D. Medical Industries Ltd. announced today that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration ("FDA") has granted Spring-Set Health Solutions Ltd. 510(k) clearance to market its Spring™ Universal Infusion Sets in the United States.

  • D. Medical Industries Ltd. announced today that its subsidiaries, Spring Health Solutions Ltd. and Spring-Set Health Solutions Ltd. ("Spring-Set"), have received Canadian Medical Devices Conformity Assessment System (CMDCAS) certification for its ISO 13485:2003 Quality System. As a result, Spring-Set is now in the process of filing an application for Health Canada approval for the Company's Universal Detach Detect Infusion Sets which Spring-Set designs and markets.
  • D. Medical/ Spring announced today that it has received the Patent Certificate from the Japanese Patent Office for Japanese patent JP 468166, entitled "Drug Delivery Device and Method". The patent protects innovative methods and technologies for identifying the presence of a gas bubble in a drug delivery system, such as an insulin delivery system worn for the treatment of diabetes. Such detection provides added safety, especially for pediatric diabetes patients.
  • D.Medical/Spring announced today that its subcontractor, UPG (Suzhou) EPZ Co. Ltd. ("UPG"), a subsidiary of United Plastics Group, Inc., has commenced the mass production of its Spring Universal Infusion Sets in Suzhou, China.

     

    UPG is a full service contract manufacturer in the medical, consumer, automotive and electronics market segments. Under a definitive manufacturing and supply agreement, announced on August 17, 2010, UPG is supplying Spring, as a non-exclusive supplier, with the Spring Universal Infusion Sets. UPG's production and supply of the consumable components of D. Medical's Spring Adi durable insulin pump and, when available, its Spring Hybrid Patch Pump, is expected to be launched under the aforementioned agreement later this year.

Medical Industries Ltd. today announced that the Company's Chief Operating Officer, Hezkiah Tsoory, has been chosen to present at the Fourth International Conference on Advanced Technologies and Treatments for Diabetes ("ATTD 2011") to take place at the Hilton London Metropole hotel in London, UK on February 16-19, 2011. Mr. Tsoory's presentation will take place in Hall at 8:15 am on Saturday, February 19, 2011.

  • Accomplished U.S. Diabetes Industry Veteran, Zoe H. Myers, Joins D. Medical as Chief Commercial Officer. Effective February 1, 2011. Ms. Myers' responsibilities will include leading global commercial strategy and U.S. operations for D. Medical. Ms. Myers is an international business leader with an accomplished history of opening new markets for novel diabetes devices. She joins D.   • D-Medical/Spring, today announced the execution of a distribution agreement with Pharmaserve-Lilly S.A.C.I. ("Pharmaserve-Lilly") for the distribution of its Spring ADI durable insulin pump, related consumables and its Spring Universal Detach Detect Infusion Sets in Greece.

     

    The agreement has an initial term of three years, commencing on the date of the distributor's initial order, and will thereafter be automatically renewed for one-year periods, unless either party notifies the other of its desire not to renew six months in advance. In addition, each party may terminate the agreement upon 180-days' prior written notice to the other party. The agreement is mutually exclusive and the parties have agreed to set a yearly sales target.
